

Raymond Marcelle Marks, 28, of Antioch, TN and Savannah Elizabeth Derrick, 24, of Smithville was arrested on March 9, 2023 after a traffic stop.
A deputy, who had prior knowledge that Marks’ license was revoked, witnessed him driving on Highway 70. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. Savannah Derrick was a passenger in the vehicle. During a search, a zipper bag was found in the floor board between the driver and passenger seats, where 10.53 grams of what believed to be methamphetamine was inside the bag. The bag was in reach of Marks and Derrick. Also found on Marks was a Glock 26 9mm pistol.
Derrick got out of the vehicle and went to another vehicle where she retrieved a backpack and tried to run into an apartment. The deputies caught her and obtained a search warrant to search a backpack personal carry bag belonging to Derrick, where a green bag found inside contained 1.088 ounces of a crystal like substance, also another bag with a crystal like substance weighing 1.37 grams was found.
Marks was charged with meth/mfg/del/sell/poss, possession of a firearm during a felony and driving on a revoked license. His bond was set at $22,500 bond, and he is to appear in court March 30, 2023. Derrick was charged with two counts of meth/mfg/del/sell/poss. Her bond was set at $40,000, and she, too, is to appear in court March 30, 2023.
