"Murder In Cowate County"

Friends Rick and Beverly Hubler, Ricky and Sherry Gannon,
Russell Taylor and Burley Bogle are all doing well at this writing.
With so much sickness going around, especially flu and covid, everyone
should take precautions as needed to stay well.
It's been a mostly cloudy Friday with highs in the seventies and
plenty of gusty winds as well.  Not your typical weather for this time
of year.  By tomorrow afternoon we may even see a few snow flurries
around here.  Tennessee weather can change is just a brief period of
time.
Our house was sort of rockin last night with the rock and roll
classics of the sixties taking center stage.  What memories of good
times I have to cherish forever during that time of my life.  For me,
they were the best years of my life with "Aubrey."  So much fun and
excitement with the guy that made me complete.
"Murder In Cowate County" was the title of the movie I came
across after my music was over for the night.  Georgia was the state
in the movie.  So many stars in this old movie such as Andy Griffith,
Johnny and June Carter Cash among quite a few celebrities.  June
Carter Cash played the role of a psychic.  Johnny Cash was the sheriff
trying to put Andy Griffith in jail for murdering a man.  There were
several regulars from "In the Heat of the Night" series in the movie.
Andy Griffith, the villain, told the sheriff the state would never put
him in the gas chamber.  In other words, Andy Griffith thought he
would never be convicted of killing this man much less put to death in
the gas chamber.  Well, Andy was proven to be wrong on all counts as
the movie ended with the lever to the gas chamber being pushed down.
Would love to see this movie again.  Everything about it was so very
interesting.
We have some people that are in need of prayer:  Cecile Ferrell,
Mary Melton, Sepal Pedigo, Gracie Bratcher, Tony Neal, Rose Watts,
Walter and Faye Ferrell, Charlie Mai Daniel, Jimmy and Faye Hale,
Ronald Lawson, and by all means pray for Israel (God's chosen people).
I believe in prayer, and I know all of these people will appreciate
your prayers.
Was reading a column in the Courier about the popularity of
wrestling all across the globe.  Our "Mom" was right there with all
those millions of others that believed all they saw was so real that
was happening to those wrestling on TV.  We couldn't convince mom that
so much of it was fake and was rehearsed.  One thing about the
wrestling when it came on everyone in the room was watching mom,
because she put on a better show than those wrestlers on TV.  When I
look back, I could have cashed in big time if I had only sold tickets
for people to tune in to mom for all those funny actions she had going
on when wrestling came on.  Knowing she believed all of it was real
made it even funnier.  What a mom.
Severe weather including tornadoes hitting several states
yesterday.  At least one person killed.  This is, as we know, the time
of year when tornadic weather is most likely to hit us.  We're more
prone to tornadoes during March, April and May, but they can hit us
any time of year.  That is why we shouldn't get caught off guard when
all the ingredients come together for severe weather to hit our area.
We know that this can happen so quickly so keeping a check on the
weather can keep us alive should it come through where we live.  So
many people lose their lives because they don't have a "plan" for
where to take cover when the weather people tell us to get to our safe
place.  Make a plan for you and your family to know how to be in your
safe place to weather the storm.  This is something to be taken very
seriously in order to survive.  Why not work on that plan today while
it is fresh on your mind?  You and your family's lives could depend on
it.  It's too late when that severe weather is upon you.
Dustin and Kristie Johnson checking in on me this week to make
sure I'm doing okay.  If you can, check in on the elderly this week
and give them a helping hand with whatever they may need.
