Officials warn against mystery seed bags
seedpack

A local man received a package Monday in the mail of what is believed to be the highly questionable seeds from China.

Officials in multiple states have reported residents receiving unsolicited packages that appear to be from China, containing some type of seeds. They are urging the public not to plant them or put them in their garbage. The seeds may be invasive or otherwise harmful to local plants or livestock.

The local man contacted the USDA where an agent retrieved the package from him at his home.
