On Saturday, February 10, at approximately 2:08 p.m., the DeKalb County Fire Department responded to Johnson Chapel Road for a report of a vehicle that run off a retaining wall with a person trapped inside their vehicle.

Upon arrival, DeKalb Fire’s vehicle rescue technicians stabilized the vehicle and assisted DeKalb Emergency Medical Service in removing the patient from the vehicle. No other injuries were reported.

Units responding to scene were Brush 1, Extrication Unit 51, DeKalb Emergency Medical Services, DeKalb Sheriff's Deputies and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
