OU welcomes newly admitted graduate students

OKLAHOMA CITY — The University of Oklahoma Graduate College is proud to welcome Mr. Nathan Colwell to the list of admitted masters and doctoral students for the Fall 2022. Colwell is the son of Mingy Ball and her husband Johnny and Stuart Colwell and his wife Tiffany. 

“We are excited to join you on this journey to become an independent scholar,” said Graduate College Dean Randall Hewes. “You will gain the unique tools at the university to make important and original contributions to your field.”

The Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is a competitive program, admitting 19 of 78 doctoral chemistry and biochemistry applicants for the Fall 2022 semester. The program offers professional training with cutting-edge faculty in advanced core facilities and research centers.

“The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is dedicated to offering superior advanced training to individuals who are interested in pushing the boundaries of human knowledge about the natural world,” said interim departmental chair Robert Cichewicz. “Through research-based learning experiences, our students find employment in industrial, academic, and government sectors as leaders in chemical and biochemical sciences.”

The Graduate College supports 11 colleges on the Norman campus and offers more than 120 graduate programs. The college guides, supports, and enhances the educational experience of every OU graduate student.
