A truck and tractor pull is set to take place this October in Alexandria, all for a good cause. The event is being organized to help a local young man, Carter Hale, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The pull is being organized to help Hale and his family with expenses.
Carter helps Jeff Reynolds, a local mechanic, compete with his ‘Raging Bull’ economy hot rod, and organizers are asking everyone who can to show up and support Carter and his family.
“Carter is great young man and has had a very positive outlook on his diagnosis,” organizers said. “He still comes to as many events as he can to show his support for Jeff and the class so let's do the same for him and his family.”
Exact details for the pull are still being worked out, so look for more info to come out as it's available. There are options to run more classes if you don't see yours here. Reach out to Jeff Reynolds at 615-318-6938 if you want to participate or help with the event.
There are several classes planned for the event, including two street gas truck categories, street diesel trucks, 2.6-3.0 pro stock diesel trucks, 4300# mini trucks, 5800# super stock trucks, hot rod tractors, 6200# light limited tractors, alter farm stock tractors, and 6200# pro stock tractors.
There will be a $40 hook fee with pay at $50/30/20. The event is scheduled for October 19, at 5 p.m., at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds in Alexandria.
