Many advancements have been made since the Novel Coronavirus made its way into the world. Family Medical is now able to offer multiple and quicker testing for the virus.

Using the quick antigen testing Sofia Machine and Liat Molecular PCR test, COVID test results are produced within minutes. This test also cross tests for influenza providing the results at the same time.  The nasal swab and antibody machine produces results with 30 minutes.

The quick test is available by appointment, but the facility also has drive-thru testing capabilities. Insurance covers the cost of the tests thru the CARES Act.

Family Medical has two facilities located at 302 North Congress Blvd., Smithville and in Alexandria at 400 East Public Square.
