The Opening Reception for the "Blue Show" will be Friday April 5th from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Arts Garage, 118 West Walnut Street, Smithville. Blue Art, Blue Refreshments and Blue Adult Drinks.
Picasso had his "blue period", right? The "Blue Show" features blue-themed art created by Middle Tennessee Artisans, Cass Waldman and Tony Zimbleman.
Cass Waldman is a Sparta native that has become a sought-after art facilitator, teacher, and graphic designer in the Upper Cumberland. Her work encompasses colorful abstract landscapes as well as monochromatic designs.
Tony Z is a bit of a different Artisan. His work is eco-friendly and he utilizes industrial products like sandpaper remnants from local factories and creates abstract compositions with a beautiful palette of oil pastels. Local collectors also enjoy his scenes from favorite Tennessee parks and landmarks.
Join us in Historic Downtown Smithville for a fun night with the featured Artists, blue hued art, treats and drinks. Historic Downtown Smithville always has special events on First Fridays of every month.
