Shakedown at jail nets three prisoners more charges
Four charged with aggravated burglary, even stole a Holy Bible record

A regular shakedown at the jail resulted in three inmates accruing new charges.
Joshua McAllen Beckham, 28, Erik Thomas Dunn, 40, and Chad Everett Knowles, 49 were all charged with contraband in a penal system and are all scheduled to appear in court June 4 to answer to the charges.
Beckham was found to be in possession of a large rock and a piece of metal, Dunn had a makeshift needle and a black shank in his area, while Knowles was found to have two metal medical clips all which could be used as weapons.
Riding on the hood of a vehicle will get you noticed and possibly arrested. That’s what happened with Warren Brandon Glasby.
Glasby, 37, of Alexandria was arrested and charged with public intoxication on May 13 after a sheriff’s deputy noticed him riding on the hood of a vehicle on Hobson Street. He then saw Glasby get off of the hood and start walking. The deputy noticed him very unsteady on his feet and appeared to be on something. For his safety and others, he was placed under arrest. He is to be in court June 11.
A lover’s dispute ended with one being charged with aggravated assault after cutting her girlfriend on May 25.
Deputies responded to a possible domestic where the caller said she had been cut by a knife. After arriving at the residence the officer spoke with Kandida Fay Davidson, 47, who said she and her girlfriend had gotten into an argument. The girlfriend said Davidson cut her on the side of the head with a knife. Deputies did witness a small laceration on her head. Davidson was arrested and is to appear in court June 11.
John Brent Williams, 38, of Smithville was arrested on May 26 domestic assault and resist, stop, halt/frisk, search. His bond was set at $6,500, and he is to appear in court June 11.
Deputies responded to Four Seasons Road for a domestic assault call. After arriving and speaking to the people there, Williams was placed in the patrol car due to his disoriented state. After an investigation, the officer told Williams he was placing him under arrest. At which time, Williams said he was not going to jail and began trying to get out of the patrol car and fight. Chemical spray was applied to Williams.
Four people have each been charge with two counts of aggravated burglary and one count of theft of property over $1,000. Kenneth Adam Wright, 38, of Dowelltown, Jonathon David Thomas, 34, of Liberty, 23 year-old Emma Katherine Alverson of Smithville and 37 year-old Samantha Bee Florida of Liberty will all appear in court June 18 to answer to the charges.
After a report of someone prowling around a property located on Hwy. 53 in Liberty on May 29, Sheriff’s Department Investigators determined Wright, Thomas, Alverson and Florida were the ones who entered the home not once but twice making off with multiple items including an Xbox 360, large Craftsman tool box, record player, paint rollers, two trail cams, plastic tool box, a jump box, Samaria Katina, dvds, tea set, hunting blind, Holy Bible vinyl record, shop vac, solar battery charger, antique oil lamp, pots and other miscellaneous item. All items taken have a value of $7,395.
Cory Allen Chapman, 33, of Woodbury was arrested on May 27 and charges with theft of property over $1,000 after he took a 2004 Saturn Ion from Holmes Creek Road on May 24 without the owner’s consent. His bond was set at $15,000, and he will appear in court June 11.
