Jarrod Thomas Reither, 28, of Smithville was arrested on Feb. 20, 2020 and charged with child abuse or neglect and domestic assault. His bond was set at $15,000.

The charges come from Feb. 19, 2020 where Reither slapped his five year-old stepson then picked the child up and slammed him down leaving bruises. He is to appear in court March 5.

Hoss Lee Stith, 39, of Smithville was arrested Feb. 19, 2020 and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual battery by an authority figure. His bond was set at $100,000.

The arrests comes from a sealed indictment dated July 23, 2018. The indictment reads on or about the 3rd day of June 2018 in DeKalb County, Stith did unlawfully and knowingly accomplish sexual contact upon a female minor, and at the time of the offense was in a position of trust over said minor. The charge of sexual exploitation of a minor stems from Stith in possession of less than 50 images that depict

Jeffery William Rigsby, 24, of Smithville was arrested by deputies on Feb. 17, 2020 on charges by the Smithville Police Department. However, once inside the deputy’s patrol car he began kicking the door causing $500 of damages. He then was charged with vandalism by the county. His bond was set at a total $24,500. He is scheduled to appear in court March 5.

Brian David Woodrow, 37, of Dowelltown was arrested on Feb 20 and charged with evading arrest 5000 bond

A deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop of a vehicle who did not have its headlights on after dark. The vehicle continued on Nashville Highway, though he acknowledged seeing the deputy by looking in his mirror, stopped then turned onto Windy Cut Street in Liberty. Woodrow was the driver of the vehicle. He said he did see the deputy, but did not stop as he could not afford to have the vehicle towed. He was also cited for no driver’s license, violation of the light law and violation of the financial responsibility law. He is set to appear in court March 5.
