The Smithville Police Department is proud to partner with MeetUp Spot to offer online buyers and sellers with a trusted location to inspect the item and safely complete the transaction. Our MeetUp location is in the parking lot on Don Cantrell Street across from the Police Department’s north side entrance. OfferUp has partnered with local businesses and police stations to create community MeetUp Spots that are designated as a well-lit, public, surveilled locations for buyers and sellers.

The safe spaces come as a result of risks posed by meeting strangers to swap online sales.
