Safety Measures a “Top Priority”
Wilson Co. Fair

The safety and security of fairgoers remains a top priority at the Wilson County Fair-Tennessee State Fair. Wilson County Promotions and law enforcement officials are working cohesively on additions and enhancements to existing protocols that will further our standard of uncompromised safety for our guests and workers.

We want to encourage you to take advantage of our satellite off-site parking to make your fair experience more enjoyable. Buses will be making trips from the following locations from 4 p.m.-11 p.m. at no charge:

•         Cumberland University’s Football Parking Lot (old Lebanon High School), 415 Harding Drive, Lebanon (on northeast side of the old Lebanon High School)-No Parking Saturday, August 27

•         First Baptist Church & Wilson County Courthouse, 227 East Main Street, Lebanon

Buses will load and unload at each location.

We want to remind everyone to SECURE all doors and do not leave any valuables out that are visible to the public. All of our gates are equipped with high frequency METAL DETECTORS positioned as a new safety enhancement. NO guns/weapons will be allowed on the premises.

It is recommended that all bags are clear and 12x6x12 or smaller. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags as well as bags holding carry-in items for infants or other medical reasons. All bags are subject to inspection.

We also urge parents who are accompanied by children to take advantage of the photo booths located at each of the gates. This will enable workers/law enforcement officials to get a better description of a child should they get separated from their guardian. It’s important to always remain vigilant and stay in very close proximity with small children on any given night due to the high influx of fairgoers.

We are very appreciative of our local law enforcement agencies that have planned extensively to insure a safe environment for all fairgoers. As always, Lebanon Police Department will be doing traffic control, security checks throughout our designated parking areas, and providing manpower at each of the gates upon entry into the fairgrounds. The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office will be providing manpower by showing a strong presence throughout the interior with special attention given to high traffic areas such as the midway.

We are looking forward to record-breaking attendance as we host the biggest Fair in Tennessee from August 18-27, 2022! The Wilson County Fair-Tennessee State Fair is presented by your Mid-South Ford Dealers. We’ll see YOU at the Fair!
