The Second Annual Festival of Trees is scheduled for December 2, 2019 from at 5--9pm at the DeKalb County Complex.
“Last year was such a huge success with so many getting involved and over 1,000 toys being donated,” said Josh Issac. “It was truly a community event of giving.
“This year will be bigger and better. We are hoping for 50 trees and even more vendors for your Christmas shopping needs.
“We also will have free Christmas cookies and drinks as well as photos with Santa,” he added.
This is a free event, but everyone is asked to bring a gift for children through teenage years. The gift will be placed under your favorite tree. At the conclusion of the event the tree with the most gifts will be named the 2019 Tree of the Year. All toys received this year will go to the Light House Christian Camp’s Outreach Christmas program. The program will serve over 500 children.
Last year, the event brought in over 1,200 toys and went to the DeKalb County Foster Care system.
