DeKalb County was recently awarded a grant from the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) Court Security Grant Program in 2018.

The grant will be used to improve court house security.

To be purchased are four tasers for court officers, a camera for hallway in front of circuit/chancery court, panic buttons are for all three courtrooms, Clerk and Masters Office, and Circuit Court Clerk's Office, and bullet proofing is for the lower courtroom's judge’s bench.

This initiative is a great example of all three branches of government collaborating to enhance the safety of Tennessee courthouses for you and for all who use them each day.
