On January 16, 40-year-old Angela Lynn Ayers of J.C. Court, McMinnville, was charged with methamphetamine manufacture sell deliver or possess. She is under a $3,500 bond and she is due in court on February 3.
According to DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray, a deputy responded to Jefferson Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident, and upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Ayers. The deputy asked Ayers if he could search her handbag before he could transport her home due to the weather, which she gave consent.
Located inside the bag was two baggies containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamines, one weighing 1.5 grams and the other weight .5 grams. Also located inside the bag was a clear pipe with residue inside it.
On January 18, 40-year-old Terrence Brock Moore of Chandler Road, Rock Island, was charged with a slew of crimes, including filing a false report, theft of property, aggravated burglary, two counts of burglary, and evading arrest. He is under a $97,500 total bond and is set to appear in court on January 27.
Sheriff Ray said that on December 21, 2021, Moore entered an outbuilding, a garage, and a home on Old Mill Hill Road with the intent to commit a theft. Moore did not have permission from the owner to be on the property. While there, authorities allege that Moore took several items belonging to the homeowner, including multiple tools, toolboxes, miscellaneous ammunition, arrowheads, and several other items totaling $6,220.
Moore also allegedly wrote a statement to law enforcement regarding his father’s vehicle being stolen. Deputies came upon the burglary in progress and Moore allegedly crashed his getaway car in the nearby woods before getting away on foot. He later reported the vehicle stolen. Upon an investigating it was found that the statement was false.
On December 24, 2021, Moore allegedly evaded law enforcement in a motor vehicle and upon an investigation he was found to be the driver.
On January 20, 40-year-old Shana Jean Shahan of Rocky Branch Road, Watertown, was arrested for a violation of an order of protection. She is under a $3,500 bond and is due in court on February 3.
Sheriff Ray said that Shahan was being booked into the DeKalb County Jail, and during the process she called her mother. The jailer then discovered that Shahan’s mother had an order of protection issued against her daughter. Shahan was charged for the violation.
On January 22, 55-year-old Louisa Patterson of Cookeville Highway, Smithville, was arrested for domestic assault. She is under a $2,500 bond and will appear in court on February 10.
A deputy responded to Lee Braswell Road for a domestic violence call, and upon arrival the deputy made contact with a minor female, who reported a physical altercation with Patterson. The child was struck in the face, causing red marks and swelling. The child also had a chunk of hair ripped from her head allegedly by Patterson.
