Curtis Shelton, 64, of Liberty found himself on the other side of a guard rail Thursday night after crashing his truck. THP Jonathan Burke reported the truck went off the right side of the road hitting two mailboxes, Shelton over-corrected, crossed back over the road striking the guard rail. The vehicle pulled several guard rail posts out of the ground and passed under the guard rail coming to rest against a tree approximately 40 feet down an embankment. The DeKalb County Rescue Squad had to extricate Shelton from the wreckage. Shelton was charged with DUI, driving on revoked and due care.
