Smithville City Police Arrest Report March 2021
Warren Brandon Glasby, 37, of 1248 Poss Rd was arrested on March 1, 2021 for Aggravated Burglary, Public Intoxication, and Resisting Arrest. Police responded to Save-A-Lot parking lot due to Glasby opening the victim’s residence door without permission and once the door opened, the victim yelled at Glasby at which time, he left. The victim contacted Dispatch and followed Glasby to Save-A-Lot. Once contact was made with Glasby, the officer noticed he had red watery eyes, unsteady on his feet, and very fidgety and unable to stay still. Glasby was told to sit down and then he got up and tried to run off. Another officer told him to sit down, which he did but then got up once again and took off running where officers tackled him to the ground. While officers were on the ground with him, he resisted and was uncooperative. Glasby refused to listen to commands given by officers and once inside the patrol car, he began to kick the window, at which time, his feet were shackled. Bond: 21,500.00 GS: 5/13/21
David Eugene Driver, 49, of 489 Holiday Haven Rd. was arrested on March 2, 2021 for Violation of Order of Protection and cited for Driving on Revoked License. Police responded to the Ford Dealership to talk to the victim about Driver violating an Order of Protection. Driver had been contacting the victim by phone calls and text. Driver also tried to contact the victim by calling her while she was speaking with the officer. As the officer was leaving the dealership, he noticed Driver driving down Windham St and conducted a traffic stop as he had previous knowledge that he has a revoked license. Central Dispatch did confirm his license to be revoked and Driver was taken into custody without incident. Bond: 10,000.00 GS: 5/13/21
Barrett Ryan Holubek, 30, of 620 Smith Rd was arrested on March 4, 2021 for Violation of Order of Protection. Holubek was at a residence where the victim had gone to and went outside and made contact with her inside the vehicle. There is an active Order of Protection prohibiting Holubek to have any contact with the victim. Bond: 5000.00 GS: 5/6/21
Joshua Dewayne Dishman, 31, of McMinnville was cited on March 7, 2021 for 911 calls in non-emergency situations. Police responded to a 911 call concerning someone being raped and upon arrival they discovered he made the call because he was mad at the other party. While officers were on the scene speaking with other party, Dishman called 911 again informing Dispatch that the other party was selling drugs. GS: 5/13/21
John Parsons of 107 Juniper Lane was cited for Dogs at Large on March 9, 2021. Police responded to Juniper and Main St due to a lady being bit by a dog. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the victim and observed an injury to her left arm. The victim, walking down Juniper Lane was attacked by two dogs and was later transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment. The owner of the dogs, Parsons, did surrender both dogs to the animal shelter as he has been cited previously for Dogs at Large in September and November 2019. GS: 4/27/21
Amanda Brooke Washer, 33, of 7393 McMinnville Hwy was cited on March 9, 2021 for Simple Possession. Police observed Washer sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle passed out. A needle loaded with 35 ml of a clear liquid substance believed to be heroin was observed in her hand. GS: 4/29/21
William Alton Rainey, 57, of 440 Odom St was arrested on March 13, 2021 for Evading Arrest. On 2/28/21 police attempted a traffic stop on a white and red motorcycle for speeding. The driver of the bike then accelerated and continued in excess speeds of 100 mph heading west bound toward Alexandria. The officer was able to get information from the motorcycle and rider’s helmet and the pursuit was terminated. The officer was later able to identify Rainey as the person on the bike and he was taken into custody without incident. Bond: 5000.00 GS: 5/13/21
Molly Sue Lawrence, 33, of 172 Roller Town was cited on March 14, 2021 for Shoplifting. Lawrence was observed leaving Dollar General Store without paying for items that she hid in a bag that she did purchase. Merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. GS: 4/15/21
Joshua Dewayne Dishman, 31, of McMinnville was arrested on March 16, 2021 for Theft of Property and Simple Possession Sch II. Police responded to the Animal Clinic for a vehicle theft. Officers made contact with the victim, who had gone inside the clinic to pay a vet bill and while she was inside, someone got in her vehicle and drove away. A short time later, the vehicle was found behind a house at 304 Spring Breeze Dr and Dishman had started emptying the vehicle out. He was taken into custody, and a gram of crystal substance believed to be meth was found in an Advil container pulled from his pocket. The substance did test positive for meth. Bond: GS: 4/8/21
Nichole May Reynolds, 35, of Brush Creek was arrested on March 18, 2021 for DUI. Reynolds was involved in a single vehicle crash in where she ran off the roadway into a yard at 205 S. Mountain St causing damage to a concrete sidewalk, the yard, and a bush. She seemed to be confused as to where she was and asked to perform field sobriety tasks to which she performed poorly. She was read the Implied Consent and refused to give a blood sample. She was taken into custody for DUI and given a citation for Implied Consent, Due Care, and Financial Responsibility as she couldn’t provide proof of insurance. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 4/8/21
Jonathan Wade Hummel, 31, of 192 Obie Adcock Rd. was cited for Theft of Property on March 20, 2021. Hummel could be seen on surveillance video take a vape device belonging to Mid TN Vapor off the counter and put it in his pocket and leave the store without paying for it. He was later located and cited for the theft. GS: 5/13/21
Robert Brock Pedigo, 21, of 7915 McMinnville Hwy was arrested for DUI on March 21, 2021. Officers received a call concerning a male subject passed out at the steering wheel of a white Ford truck on Ginger Dr at Kendra Dr. Police made contact with the truck which was running and inside they noticed a male subject asleep with his foot on the break and the truck in drive position. The subject was woken and identified as Pedigo and discovered he had drunk 7 or 8 beers previously. He was asked and consented to field sobriety tasks to which he performed poorly. On March 22, 2021 Justin Dale Estes, 30, of 47 Paton Lane was arrested DUI and cited for DL Violation, Financial Responsibility, Simple Possession, and Drug Paraphernalia. Police responded to 507 S. Congress Blvd due to a male subject passed out at the steering wheel of the vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Estes who was laid on the driver side door asleep. Once awake, he was asked to step out of the vehicle and the officer observed him to be unsteady on his feet and have slurred speech. He was asked to perform field sobriety tasks to which he agreed and performed poorly. It was discovered that he had taken meth and had a few drinks prior to driving. A clear bag with approx. 1.7 grams of crystal and a clear bag of approx. 9 grams of white powder were found in clear view inside the vehicle along with a glass pipe with white residue in it. A check with Dispatch, informed the officer that his license is suspended and he could not provide proof of insurance. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 5/13/21
David Allen Pedigo, 52, of Dowelltown was arrested on March 22, 2021 for Aggravated Assault. Pedigo was involved in a motor vehicle accident where he did display a firearm that caused the other driver to be in fear of immediate bodily injury or death. The firearm was recovered from the scene and a statement was collected from the victim. Bond: 5000.00 GS: 4/29/21
Crystal Dawn Grijalva, 36, of 1226 S. College St was arrested for Domestic Assault and cited for Simple Possession on March 23, 2021. Grijalva did assault the victim by placing her hands around the victim’s neck leaving marks. The victim denied Grijalva money to buy marijuana and she started destroying the victim’s room which later turned physical causing the victim harm. Upon incident to arrest, Grijalva did pull out clear bag of approx.. 21 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana from her bra. Bond: 2500.00 GS: 4/15/21
James Summers, 42, of Rock Island was arrested on March 25, 2021 for Simple Possession I, IV, & V, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Public Intoxication.
Summers was standing in the middle of the road near S. College St. and appeared to be disoriented, and under the influence of drugs. He was place in custody for his protection. A search incident to arrest revealed four different types of narcotics that he could not produce a prescription for and 1.8 grams of a crystal-like substance believe to methamphetamine and 2.6 grams of a plant substance believed to be Psilocybin. Bond: 5000.00 GS: 5/6/21
Kaite Maria Beasley, 39, of Alabama was arrested for Public Intoxication on March 30, 2021. Police were dispatched to a residence at 216 Dearman St where an unknown woman was hanging a hammock on the caller’s front porch. Upon arrival, the woman was walking around the The Church of Nazarene. She didn’t have an ID with her but identified herself as Katie Beasley. She was confused and unsteady on her feet. Beasley unreasonably annoyed people in the vicinity and was a danger to herself and was believed to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 5/13/21
Jimmy Layne Estes, 44, of 620 Andrews St. was cited for Theft of Property on March 30, 2021. At approx. 3:15 pm Estes was observed taking a bicycle that didn’t belong to him from the victim at 625 Highland St. The bicycle was located at approx. 4:54 pm and returned to the victim. GS: 4/8/21
Around 7:10 pm on March 30, Estes was cited by another officer for Criminal Trespassing. The officer received a call that Estes was at the gazebo on Highland St. Estes was trespassed from the whole property of the Smithville Housing Authority on 7/9/20. GS: 5/13/21
Michael Lynn Vance, 52, of 625 Highland St was arrested on March 31, 2021 for Criminal Trespass and Violation of Order of Protection. Officers were dispatched to 625 Highland St concerning Vance knocking on the windows of the residence. Once the officer arrived, he noticed Vance was sitting on the front porch of the residence and upon speaking with him, he knew that he wasn’t supposed to be there and was trying to get under cover from the rain. Vance has been warned, cited, and arrested for trespassing on the property and there is an active Order of Protection against him by the victim that lives at this residence. Bond: 7000.00 GS: 5/13/21
On March 31, 2021 Dickie Ray Bain, 52, of 329 Petty Rd. was cited for Simple Possession, Light Law, Misuse of Registration, and Simple Possession. Bain was stopped for a prohibited color of tail lights. The vehicle was recently purchased and had no insurance and someone else’s tag on it. Upon receiving consent to search, 20 grams of a green leafy material believed to be marijuana was located. Howard Lee Pyles, 55, of Liberty was a passenger and he had in his possession .4 grams of a crystal substance believed to be meth was found after receiving consent to search his person. He was cited for Simple Possession of Meth. GS: for both 4/22/21
