 Shopping, entertainment and educational seminars will be on tap April 20 when the Smithville Review opens the door for its fourth annual DeKalb County Women’s Expo.

The event will be held Saturday, April 20 at the DeKalb Community Complex from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is just $3 at the door and attendees will be treated to a number of happenings all day long.

“The DeKalb County Women’s Expo is designed just for women and attracts hundreds of guests each year,” said Smithville Review General Manager Angie Meadows. “It features over 40 vendors offering hand-made crafts, home based businesses and delectable goodies.”

While people are shopping, there will be entertainment going on for much of the day. “On stage there will be a health and fitness, cooking and essential oil demos, a weight loss speaker, performances by Thea Tippin and Tom Tippin. A watercolor painting class will be held by Helen Sefsik, Vision Board gathering by and make & take crafts with Karyn Walker all in the art room.”

Those who get there early will also be given a treat and receive an expo bag to carry your great finds for the day. There will also be a photo booth for people to take selfies using the props on-hand.
