Narcissist Support Group

A 12-step support group for narcissist abuse will be held every Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Community Complex in the art room. This is a free support group and you are encouraged to attend if you are, or have been, a victim of narcissist abuse.

                                              

Taylor Reunion, August 6

The family of Winnie and Albert Taylor will have a reunion on Sunday, August 6 at Greenbrook Park in the big shelter near the NHC. A lunch meal will be enjoyed at 12ish. Please bring a covered dish or a drink or ice. Tell family members. This is an important gathering.

Veterans Service Officer Ready to Assist

Are you a veteran in need of assistance? DeKalb County has a Veteran's Service Officer ready to help you, not only with filing claims, but for conversations about your service.

Retired military service officer Bill Rutherford is located on the first floor of the DeKalb County Courthouse and is ready to offer assistance. He is available for in-office visits each Tuesday and Thursday or can be reached by telephone at any time at 615-560-3610. DeKalb County appreciates the service of all veterans and is proud to provide this service.

DeKalb County Election Commission, August 10

The Election Commission will be hosting an upcoming public demonstration fo the new voting equipment. The public is invited to take advantage of this “hands-on” opportunity to familiarize yourself with the latest model of our Microvote Voting Machines. The event will be held at the DeKalb County Courthouse in te early voting room August 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment needed.

 

 

Blood Drive, August 17

The fourth drive will be Thursday, August 17 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Family Medical Center 302 North Congress Boulevard, Smithville. Sign up at www.bloodassurance.org/familymedical. You may call 615-597-4395

Remember to eat a good meal, drink additional water, avoid energy drinks and bring your ID. Blood Assurance is the sole blood provider for the local hospitals and your donation is needed for an adequate supply. One donation can save three lives. Each donor will receive a t-shirt while supplies last.

 

Warren County Genealogical & Historical Meeting, August 19

The Warren County Genealogical & Historical Association Meeting will be held on August 19, 2023 at 2 p.m. The location is 201 Locust Street, Mcminnville, TN in the Early Voting Room. The speaker will be Dr. Neil Schultz, “The Historic Old Spring.”

 

DeKalb School District to Again Provide Free Breakfasts and Lunches to Students

The DeKalb County School Nutrition Department is excited to announce  that both Breakfast and Lunch will be served FREE to ALL of our students once again this school year through the School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program.
