A woman and her granddaughter were hurt when their pickup was struck from behind while stopping to make a turn off McMinnville Highway near Young’s Nursery Monday morning. The woman, Kathleen Ellis and her 12-year-old granddaughter were taken to St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. The driver of the southbound truck that hit them from behind, Victor Roller, refused transport. He was cited for failure to use due care.
