For the second year the UT TSU Extension office in DeKalb County is sponsoring the DeKalb Virtual Chopped Challenge. This competition is open to youth in the 4-H clubs (grades 4 – 12) and adults 18 and older. Judging will be done separately for adults, 4-Hers in grades 4 – 7 and 8 – 12.

Participants will receive by email a list of five required ingredients each week for each category (Appetizer, main dish, and dessert). They will create a dish using those ingredients and any others they wish. Entries are submitted with a photo and recipe. The winning dishes will be posted each week on the UT/TSU Extension DeKalb County Facebook page. There will be a final grand championship round. Winners will receive kitchen tools/equipment.
