A fugitive wanted by Texas authorities was captured in DeKalb County last week. According to the DeKalb Sheriff’s Department’s Chief Deputy, Robert Patrick, on September 13, 46-year-old Christopher Leroy Fox was arrested for being a fugitive from justice. His bond is $50,000 and his court date is September 30.
Chief Deputy Patrick said that Fox was arrested on the fugitive warrant after a computer check through the DeKalb E-911 Center revealed a warrant out of Nacogdoches County, where his probation was revoked on a bigamy charge. Authorities in Texas have requested extradition of Fox.
On September 17, 44-year-old Harry McIntosh was charged with violation of an order of protection. His bond is $10,000 and he is due in court on October 1.
According Sheriff’s officials, McIntosh entered the home of a woman he had previously been accused of assaulting in another incident.
The advised that she woke up and found McIntosh in bed with her, and she told him to leave. A verbal argument ensued and the woman notified a friend, who in turn called authorities.
Upon the arrival of a deputy, McIntosh was found in the bathroom, where McIntosh was allowed to put on his clothes before being taken into custody for violating an order of protection.
50 year old David Eugene Driver is charged with a seventh offense of driving on a revoked or suspended license. His bond is $7,000 and he will be in court on September 30.
Chief Patrick said that a deputy observed a red Chevy S-10 traveling on Highway 70 that failed to use its turning signal when switching lanes. The deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with Mr. Driver.
Upon a check with Central Dispatch, the deputy learned that Driver had six prior convictions for driving on a revoked license. He was placed under arrest.
