A woman has been charged with misuse of emergency services after she called to report she heard people crawling around inside her walls.

The woman, Tammy R. Jennings, 52, has also been charged with possession of drugs, perhaps explaining why she thought people were in her walls, in her attic and under her house. Her charges come after she was warned on two occasions within a four-hour period that 911 was only for emergencies and that she should quit calling unless it was, in fact, an emergency.

When she made the third call at 1 a.m., police showed up at her door on Wade Street and discovered, during a conversation with her, that she had been snorting her prescribed hydrocodone. A search after her arrest netted .44 grams of meth in her front pocket.
