Thea Tippin, Performer
Thea Tippin knew she wanted to be a singer ever
since she was four years old when she grabbed the microphone out of her
sister’s hands at a recital in her hometown of Great Falls, MT and proceeded to
belt out a tune. Years later, she moved
to Nashville, TN to chase her dream and to get her Bachelor of Music degree
from Belmont University. She spent the
next few years after graduation singing on local, regional and national
commercials for Wendys, Quincy’s Steakhouse, Opryland theme park and
others. Thea toured briefly as a
background vocalist for various groups and then landed a job working for Reba
McEntire’s company, Starstruck Entertainment where she learned the “business”
side of music. It is there where she met
her husband, country music icon Aaron Tippin.
Thea and Aaron formed their own company, Tip Top Entertainment in the
mid 90’s and started their own record label Nippit Records. Together they wrote Aaron’s number one song,
KISS THIS and have co-written and sang together on many others. They now both record under the Nippit Records
umbrella. They also run a nutrition
company, The couple has two boys ages
21 and 18. Thea has recorded four CD’s including her latest entitled, “My
Way”. “It’s a collection of songs I grew
up listening to including standards such as MY FUNNY VALENTINE, SOMEONE TO
WATCH OVER ME, and it also has some great pop tunes like I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW,
SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDER and the Ray Charles classic, HIT THE ROAD JACK that
Aaron sings with me. The legendary Jim Horn produced it and we had a blast recording it.”
Tom Tippin, Performer
Tippin has been singing almost as long as he could talk. At a very young age while sitting in his car
seat, his parents would hear him picking up on harmony parts on the radio and
singing along in tune with the songs or hearing the rhythm of the washing
machine and drumming along in time with it.
He spent a good part of his preschool years getting up on stage across
the country with his Dad, platinum selling country artist, Aaron Tippin and
singing along while air playing guitar.
During his grade school and Jr. High years he won several prestigious
vocal competitions taking on songs and moves by Michael Jackson, Justin
Timberlake and Bruno Mars and pulling them off to take 1st
place. Now just 18 years old he has
already sung on the Grand Ole Opry countless times, at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge
and the Station Inn and performed with his Dad and Mom on many acoustic shows
around the country, opened for his dad, Sammy Kershaw and Collin Raye and the
Oak Ridge Boys. He has been a guest and
performed on radio stations such as The Country Giant in Cookeville, TN and
WSIX and 650 WSM in Nashville, TN. With a style geared toward pop and
contemporary country his days of air guitar are over as Tom has become an
accomplished guitar player, songwriter
and vocalist with a large fan following of his own. Not only is he a talented musician, he is
also a young aviator. Tom soloed in a
glider when he was 14 years old and soloed three 1940’s era airplanes when he
turned 16, got his private pilot’s license at 17 and was featured in several
aviation magazines. Just recently he
affiliated with BMI, the largest performance rights organization to represent
