We awoke to a beautiful sunny morning outside DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville this Monday morning.
Inside the hospital, nurses are moving fast and they greet a new day with a good morning and how are you today? We have to pinch ourselves to realize where we are.
This noble service that they give every day to the sick and injured is immeasurable.
This facility is well-managed with a large staff. We are thankful for our well-trained doctors and nurses, and the services that they perform daily.
We pray for them and ask God to be with them. It takes a big staff working together to make it a great hospital for DeKalb County. We want them to know we appreciate this service.
Special get-well wishes go to Mrs. Vicki Corley of Alexandria, who will be having surgery before long. We love Vicki and pray for a successful surgery and quick recovery.
Happy birthday wishes go to a very special person in our life, our daughter, Kathy Keyt Frazier-Hendrix. Congratulations and we wish you many many more happy birthdays.
It was so good to see Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Parker of Murfreesboro. They visited us at DeKalb Community Hospital this week. We love this good Christian couple, who care about others in this walk of life. We appreciate your love and kindness.
We appreciate all who have offered up special prayer for God to heal us: Shirley Ingram, Hudson Parker, Bro. Donald Owens and the Dry Creek Church Family, Dr. Richard Jones, Bro. Bill Robertson, and Jerald Cripps.
My grandson, Dr. Bruno Frazier of Atlanta, Ga. visited several minutes with me. He had been working in Honey at Mack Harneys and was going to strain 20 gallons of his own to carry back home. He told me that his son, Andrew Frazier, was selected to attend Boys State from his school in Ga. Congratulations to Andrew.
Tim Keyt of Cookeville visited his Aunt Louise. It is nice to see these young men.
Sorry I missed a dear friend, Sherry Bush. It was good to see my neighbor, Jeanette and Justin Frazier.
Thanks goes to Antha Lunguard, Inzey Farler, Wanda Poss, Ivadell Randolph, Helen Burt and Faye Nixon, Garry and Betty Jane Mullican, Jane Hobson, Jimmy and Becky Womack, Bobby and Paulette Robinson and Bro. Donald Owens for visiting.
Joe and Carloyne Dickey of Montecello, Ark. and daughter, Cheryl Dunn, of Hope, Ark. were the weekend guests of Bro. and Mrs. Donald Owens of Lebanon. Cheryl was guest soloist at Dry Creek Baptist Church at the Sunday morning worship service.
On June 11, 60 people were enrolled at VBS, “The Ocean Blast,” at Dry Creek Baptist.
The day ended with the children enjoying a trip to the “cool waters” of Dry Creek, which meanders by the Dry Creek Baptist Church. They reported a day well spent for the glory of God.
On June 26, homecoming will be held at Dry Creek Baptist. Former pastor, Bro. David Carden, will be the guest speaker. At noon there will be a meal, and Nancy Owens and Joyce West will be the special soloists.
Everyone plan to attend this special day. Bro. Donald Owens, pastor.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. (Ps. 145:3).
Please remember to pray for your writer Louise Frazier.
