Launches Facebook fundraiser

Alexandria Mayor Bennett Armstrong along with members of the community displays t-shirts for sale on Facebook as part of a fundraiser to build a playground for the children in Alexandria.

Alexandria needs a playground and parents and concerned citizens are banding together in an attempt to make the dream a reality.

Alexandria TN Playground Bound is running a fundraising initiative on Facebook where it is selling t-shirts. Amy Pugh is making and selling the shirts for $20 with the proceeds going into a playground fund to build a facility in the DeKalb County hamlet. The shirts read “Teamwork makes the Dream Work – Alexandria TN. The back reads “#playgroundbound”.

Anyone wanting to help can go to a search for the Facebook site and order a shirt. Donations are also being accepted.
