The Art Revolution Solstice woke downtown up Saturday night with a fund-raising event capped with a performance by Fire Spinner.The event, which netted around $5,000 for the non-profit organization whose stated goal is “to enrich our community by bringing art instruction to our youth,” featured musical performances by Don and Barbara Bartholemy, Asa Graham Hartley and Tim Edwards, a video presentation by Scott Little and Jessica Atnip, donated artwork for sale and refreshments, as well as the finale in the street.The organization offers classes including culinary arts, drawing and painting, graphic design, guitar, clay, and photographyAccording to the website at www.anartrevolution.org/: “Art Revolution aims to give the youth of our community a chance to experience art in a fashion that raises the bar. “Our class sizes are small to encourage intimate and detailed teachings. Many of our artists are known throughout the United States.
