Spring is here. It is green from hillside to hillside in the Dry Creek Valley.
We remember when Ray Stevens put his piano on the wooden bridge crossing the Dry Creek stream and made his musical, “Everything Is Beautiful.”
The children of the community sat on the gravel bar with their feet in the water and helped sing the song.
Yes, as the song goes, “everything is beautiful in its own way.” Beauty is everywhere in God’s creation.
At the Frazier farm everything is blooming. The yellow jasmine is in full bloom, clinging to the trellis in the flower garden. The lilac bush is beginning to show up with those sweet smelling purple blossoms. The June apple tree is white with blooms.
The pear trees still have their blooms, so the deer will have plenty of red pears to eat. The tulip trees are in bloom with one being red and the other pink.
The red dogwood that Edward Frazier planted is blooming.
Tommy Hooper came Thursday and gave the yard a new look. Thanks to Tommy, who does the graveyard and Dr. Barbara Frazier’s country farm also.
On Thursday, April 14, we saw the first humming bird of spring.
On Thursday, April 11, we went for a visit to see Dr. Jack Rhody. He didn’t look any older after becoming a grandfather. In fact, we thought he looked younger. His daughter and her husband, who live in Florida, have a beautiful little girl. This is a wonderful event for the family. Congratulations, love and best wishes go to this family and the Rhody grandparents.
The Frazier family has grown accustomed to “new additions.” A baby boy was born April 12 at 7:34 p.m. to Matthew and Melody Cripps at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He has been named Owen Wyatt Cripps.
Grandparents are Ernie and Kathy Cripps, Murfreesboro, and Jerald and Lisa Cripps, Dismal Road, Liberty.
Congratulations go to the Cripps family.
April birthdays include Vena Fuston, Fred VanHook, JoAnn Hale, Raymond Davis, Robert Walker, Sarah Walker, Lee Ann Prince, Michael Prince, Joseph Miller and Riley Tramel.
Belated birthday wishes to most of these who may have already celebrated. Elizabeth Miller had a birthday on April 12. Congratulations to these folks and to all who have birthdays in April.

Lisa Cripps, Judy Kimbrell and Levi, and Kathy Hendrix and Sawyer Allen visited Louise Frazier on Tuesday.
Bob Earl and Linda Fuston and Bobby and Mary Joines visited Wednesday afternoon.
We were glad to hear from Helen Burt this week. We appreciate our cards, visits and calls, gifts, etc.
Georgia Hawker visited Louise Frazier on her way to church Wednesday. Thanks to Georgia for her visit and food.
Thanks to our “giver” for this beautiful weather. It is warm and beautiful outside. Lisa said that her onions were up at our place.
On April 17, Dry Creek Baptist held a belated birthday celebration for its pastor, Bro. Donald Owens. Many visitors were present.
Everyone welcome at Dry Creek Baptist services. Attend church: the church needs you and you need a church.
Beautiful spring is here!
