Well, the rain is sitting in for a while but it will be warm again. The leaves that are falling and still in the trees are beautiful. I must tell you this I was driving around a friend’s house and saw what looked like a beaver. I know some say beavers are not here I am not sure about that. Any way I was in my car and it perched up on a stack of wood I wanted to take a picture so I got out of the car. It went further down in the stack on wood now I ask myself do I want that groundhog as I believed it to be to jump out and attack my head. I got back in the car and drove slowly off and it came back out as if it was tempting me. There will be another day and I will find out what it truly is.

Hunting season is coming around be careful if you are out in the woods make sure to wear orange. I have been watching the squirrels gather their nut together for the winter. You really have to drive slowly to miss them as they are jumping around everywhere. I think they have a few of my friend’s pecans. The squirrels always know the right time to get them.

Halloween will be coming along fast. Remember Downtown Smithville has the Boo Bash from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. participating businesses will have an orange pumpkin on the door. New Home Missionary Baptist Church will be having Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot it will begin at 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Please remember the lost in your prayers. Pray that they will come to Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior before it is too late.

Please pray for the families that have lost loved ones. The fires and the hurricanes going through. May God protect the people that are going through this at this time?

May God bless you all!
