We may have some severe weather around here later in the day this Thursday.  That is what the weather people are saying.  We need to pay attention when there's a chance of rough weather possible for us.
      Be on the lookout as stamps are going to cost us more, if the Post Office has its way.  I love to send out Christmas cards to family and friends.  It's a tradition I've been doing for years, but if the price of a stamp keeps going up, it's gonna make it harder for me and others to mail those cards to our loved ones.  Something seems fishy about these constant price hikes on stamps.  Could there be some greed going on with the postal service, like it seems to be going on with some other businesses?  I really don't know...I'm just wondering. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet on this one and pay the extra on the stamps.  I'm old fashioned like some others and prefer the snail mail.  To me, we've gotten out of touch with so many changes to how we convey to our loved ones what a few strokes of a pen or some stationary can mean to someone.  I'm so excited to get a card, letter or note from someone because they care.  It's that personal touch that matters the most to me.
      Some people have the delusion that our world today is better than it used to be.  Let's see back in "better years" no doors locked. Windows in the summer up.  Siblings could sleep on the porch on a mattress only having to worry about pesky mosquitos attacking them. No robbing mailboxes, holding up postal carriers, or stealing packages from porches.  Road rage didn't happen.  Marijuana not that prevalent.
 Young people showed respect for God and their neighbors.  Country music with Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Connie Smith and other ladies being modestly dressed and were respected and added class to country music.  Wonder what they would think of the women of country music today being half-dressed?  We now have cyber-attacks, school shootings, muggings galore, robberies and rapes.  Wherever you go whether the mall, grocery store or the bank wondering who might want to shoot you.  Drugs laced with fentanyl, protests against Israel, terrorists setting up house in our country to destroy us.  You would have to be blind not to see what's looming ahead for us and our freedom as we once knew it because it is gradually leaving us.
      Let's keep praying for the following people:  Cecile Gerrell, Mary Melton, Rose Watts, Charlie Mai Daniel, Jimmy and Faye Hale, Walter and Faye Ferrell, the people of Israel and Ukraine, and the families of Sepal Pedigo and Marty Youngblood.
      Had company on Tuesday as Betty Barnes and Martha Parker or "Thelma and Louise" as they are now called, stopped by.  They are a riot and a joy to be around and will definitely lift your spirits. Forgot to get their autographs now that they have become celebrities.

      Burley Bogle doing better I'm glad to report.  Told him to not work so hard and rest more so he'll last longer.  Talked with Melvin Ferrell, Ann Warren, Ruth Brown, Russell Taylor and Rex Pedigo this week.  All are fairing pretty good at this writing
