School is starting, elections are coming, summer vacations are almost over! Busy, busy, both children and adults.
Belated birthday wishes to Louise Frazier. She is a remarkable woman, working circles around her children. She and I were teacher friends at Smithville Elementary my first year there.

Birthday wishes to Jamie Dawson and her birthday was celebrated at Cash Express last week. Also celebrating were Taylan Robert Driver.
The School celebration last Friday evening around the court house was a success! Good weather contributed. The crowd seemed larger than a Friday Jamboree evening. It was a a good opportunity for the school children to gather school supplies. Thanks to all.
Brandy Cooper was introduced during the Sunday morning worship service. She is coming to the First Methodist as their youth director. She is a student at Tennessee Tech and hails rom Mt. Juliet.
Polly and Joe Payne have returned from a relaxing vacation at St. George Island. They were joined there with their daughter, Katherine and Joe Branen and their three children. One of their most interesting sights was a gigantic sea turtle who had laid 100 eggs.
Sympathy to Carolyn Williams, Emily and Stan in the masonic funeral was held here with burial in Gordonsville.
