Celebrate National Older Americans Month this May
Age-Strong-2

The month of May is recognized nationally as Older Americans Month, a time when we acknowledge the vast contributions older adults make to their families, communities and the nation. Justin Potter Library will partner with the Alexandria, Liberty and Smithville Senior Centers as we participate in the national celebration by hosting Older Americans Day. The event will be held at the DeKalb County Complex Theatre area located at 712 S Congress Blvd on Wednesday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m.

This year’s theme is "Blaze a Trail". The featured entertainment will be Clyde Nokes and The Short Mountain Boys. There will be displays, door prizes, goody bags and sack lunches for the older adults to enjoy.

The library will be closed on May 11 from 8:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.

Everyone who is an older American or aspires to be one is invited to this free event.
