Janie Leigh Davis and Russell Whitely Ambrose are set to exchange vows in Anderson, S.C. on Oct. 6.

Joseph and Melanie Davis of Irmo, South Carolina are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Janie Leigh Davis to Russell Whitely Ambrose, son of Bill and Kim Luton of Smithville and Marion and Cardinal Ambrose of Palm Desert, California. Ms. Davis graduated from Dutch Fork High School in 2011 and is a graduate of Presbyterian College and the University of South Carolina where she obtained a master’s degree in Education and Theatre.  She is a drama teacher in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Mr. Ambrose is a 2009 graduate of DeKalb County High School and a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Horry-Georgetown with a Degree in Golf Management.  Russ is currently employed at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Janie is the granddaughter of Dyann Mallard of Ridgeland, South Carolina and John and Betty Davis of Irmo, South Carolina. Russell is the grandson of Jimmy Driver of McMinnville and Faye Fuqua of Smithville and the late Mary and Russell Ambrose of Webster City, Iowa. The wedding will be in Anderson, S.C., Oct. 6, 2018. The couple will reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
