Dry Creek Baptist Church honored Bro. Donald Owens on his birthday, March 30, with a delicious birthday dinner in the fellowship on Sunday.
A large number of relatives and friends attended, with handshakes and hugs which say we love you and appreciate you, Mrs. Audrey, and your ministry.
The honoree received a monetary gift from the church and other gifts and birthday cards.
Attending from Smithville were Edward and Frances Frazier, Edsel Frazier and Jerry and Susan Hinton. Rance Kelly, wife and daughter of Huntsville, Alabama, joined his family.
Bro. Donald and Mrs. Audrey Owens were happy and enjoyed the delicious dinner, gifts, and says thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make this a wonderful day.
Dry Creek Baptist Church was happy to have Dr. and Mrs. Bruno Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia attend church services Sunday.
Sorry to report that Jane Vandagriff of Smithville is in the intensive care unit at Vanderbilt Hospital as a result of a stroke. Remember Jane in your prayers.
Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Frazier of Knoxville and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Smith of Huntsville, Alabama spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frazier in the Vandagriff Hollow.
Dr. Barbara Frazier, Todd, Christopher, and William Knuckles of Florence, Alabama, Dr. And Mrs. Geri Frazier, and Mr. Henry and Dr. Natalie Frazier of Huntsville, Alabama spent the week end at their country home in the Dry Creek valley.
The Frazier family honored Rebecca Ann Smith, daughter of Henry and Natalie Frazier with a baby shower at the home of Lisa Cripps Sunday afternoon. Mark and Rebecca Smith are expecting a son May 2 who will be named Harrison Smith. They received many beautiful and useful gifts from their loving family.
Special prayer list; Anthony Wright and Bobby Joines are taking treatments and days of rest; Edward and Frances Frazier are doing well, Jane Vandagriff recovering from a stroke, Jim Cripps and Joe Ayers need medical attention and physical care, Kenneth Magness, Larry Hale, Kenny Rhody much improved, Kenny Edge improved, Joe and Caroline Dickey, Carroll Thomas, James Keyt, Louise Frazier, Bob and Linda Fuston, Helen Burt, Ruth White, Mary Joines, Harold Elrod and Sarah Walker.
Congratulations to a lady who is a native of this beautiful valley and celebrated her 91st birthday April 1, Willie Jim Ayers Cripps.
It is sad to report that she is not well.
She has been a mother to her younger brothers, lost her mother at seven years of age and worked in gardens, canning food for family making her home beautiful with a variety of flowers, helpful to neighbors and friends and now trying to understand the younger generation. May God bless and help this dear lady.  Happy birthday Willie Jim Cripps.
