Christmas a great time for family

Christmas is almost here!  We wish all of our readers a Very Merry Christmas with their family and friends.

The Frazier family is looking forward to a house full of wildness going on. The kids will be all excited and the girls will all be in the kitchen rushing around to get both of the tables equipped with some of all the various dishes of food. The men will be walking by the turkey and ham sneaking a sample as always.

It is such a great time of the year. We are a very blessed family to have such a close relationship with each other. The Fraziers have always been like that. Woodrow’s sisters and brothers always visited each other. The girls enjoyed visiting with his family for weeklong stays during the summer months when they were younger. Their Aunt Rhea Washer live in Greenbrier and Aunt Nettie Jim Edge lived just a few miles up the road. Today I am thankful our children are teaching their children to stay close and visit often.

We had a house full for Sunday lunch last week and everyone enjoyed the delicious meal Deborah Fuson prepared for them. It was pretty cold outside, but the older great-grandchildren managed to play out for a while.  This cold temperatures that’s moved into our area has been pretty harsh. We look forward to warmer temperatures.

Deborah Fuson, Louise Frazier, Jordan Cripps, Claire and Christian, Monica and David Reynolds, Levi and Molly all enjoyed the Elizabeth Chapel Living Christmas Tree. The beautiful singing and nativity scene was wonderful.  We got to visit with several people we don’t get to see very often. Thank you for another fabulous year.

Jerald and Lisa Cripps of Liberty hosted the dirty Santa Christmas party this year. Everyone has fun stealing each other’s gift and the food was wonderful. This event is always full of light-hearted laughter and fun.

Rusty Caplinger, our faithful mail carrier, continues to be a good to check on the elderly. We appreciate him so much. He has a kind heart. Merry Christmas Rusty.

Rita Fuson-Frazier of Hermitage spent several nights last week with Louise Frazier, Buddy and Deborah Fuson at our home on Dry Creek. We enjoyed her visit. She brought a special gift for your writer -- the bible we gave our son, Ronnie Frazier, when he went off to war.

It was just a small bible, but it was worn and showed signs of being read frequently. Precious Memories.

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.”
