Sixty-seven years of marriage deserves ice cream cake

We are excited to send out happy 67th anniversary wishes to Edward and Frances Frazier of Smithville. They celebrated this event with many family and friends and enjoyed a special ice cream cake together. Frances received a beautiful bouquet of red roses. Edward’s twin brother Edsel Frazier and grandson visited with Louise Frazier last week. We really enjoyed their visit.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Frazier household. Two trees are up inside and two outside. We really enjoy the lights and happiness that surrounds us with the special Christmas spirit all around. The Christmas cards are purchased, but have not be sent. We hope to get motivated to get them in the mail next week. Most of the gifts are bagged and around the tree, so the list is getting checked off little by little.

The Delta Kappa Gamma held their Christmas brunch with the Alpha Delta Sparta group at the Falcon Rest Mansion and Garden in McMinnville last Saturday. It was good to initiate a new member, Deanna Smith. The group exchanged Christmas ornaments after the meal. We are thankful the weather has been pleasant enough for the older members to attend. Each year after this Christmas brunch, we make every effort to get back in town in time to see the Smithville Christmas parade. We just park and watch it go by, but it is always enjoyable.

We send out get-well wishes to Boyd and Brenda Cantrell, Harriett Cantrell, and Tony Thompson. Please keep these folks in your prayers as they are healing from surgeries and/or sickness.

Buddy and Deborah Fuson are here for most of the month of December. We always enjoy their time home with the family. This gives our caregivers time to visit with their friends and families during Christmas. We hope Deborah will take us to the Elizabeth Chapel Singing Christmas Tree again this year. We enjoy attending this event. The dates are Dec. 9, 10, and 13 in ECBC gym on Allen Ferry Rd., Smithville.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
