Let the Christmas celebration begin

We are excited about all the Christmas activities starting this weekend. The weather may play a factor in our attendance, but we still look forward to getting out of the house and hope the rain holds off for all of the family and church activities.

Our community sends sincere sympathy to the Vanderpool family in the death of Brenda. Our dear friends Jimmy and Becky Womack lost their son-in-law, Douglas Mullendore, to cancer at young age of 49. We send prayers and love to his wife Emily and the Mullendore family. Best wishes go out to our neighbor, Bobby Joins who is getting treatments at Cookeville Hospital.

Roscoe Frazier had eye surgery at the Adult Vanderbilt Eye Institute in Lebanon. His wife Pauline and Matilda Earl were with him. Our community sends special get will wishes to Roscoe.

Several of the schools are presenting Christmas musicals. We have some really talented students that take this opportunity to express their talents. Thank you to our music teachers for working so hard to prepare for these presentations.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Christmas brunch was held last Saturday morning at Falcon Rest Mansion and Gardens in McMinnville. This mansion has a rich history. We enjoyed visiting here years ago for one of our birthday celebration parties. The group really enjoyed the atmosphere and time together.

Take a moment to remember past Christmases. We never remember the STUFF we got….It’s the wonderful time spent together that we hold dear.
