Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Kimbrell of Old Mill Hill Road, Dowelltown, attended his 50-year class reunion of St. Joseph High School, Saturday, in St. Joseph, Tenn.
Mrs. Lisa Cripps of Dismal Road, Liberty, visited her mother, Mrs. Louise Frazier, Saturday.
Congratulations go to my neighbor and friend, Mrs. Jim Cripps, who celebrated her 89th birthday on April 1. The Cripps family prepared a delicious birthday dinner with cake and ice cream. She received nice gifts for her birthday.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Cripps, Murfreesboro; Mr. Brigham Ayers and Miss Tiffany Waggoner, Smithville; Mr. Justin Cripps and Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Cripps, Dry Creek; and Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Cripps, Dismal Road, Liberty; and Mr. Dwight Cripps and Mr. Joe Ayers.
Sorry to report a fire at the home of Mrs. Faye Elrod. Fire engines responded and put out the fire. We don’t know the damage, but do know that there was smoke damage.

Mr. Tim France and daughters of Smithville enjoyed a “breakfast-dinner” at the home of his mother, Ms. Jeanette France, on Saturday.
Mr. Justin France and three classmates from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville are here working on a science project on the farm of Justin’s grandmother, Ms. Jeanette France, this Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Frazier of Huntsville, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Frazier of KnoxvilleKnoxville, visited Mrs. Louise Fraizer, Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Frazier and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frazier, Mr. and Mrs. David Reynolds, and Mr. and Mrs. Jared Hendrix ejoyed dinning out at Cheddars in Cookeville, Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jonathon Frazier returned to their home in Knoxville after dinner.
April is here and we continue to have warm weather. Some gardeners are planting their vegetables. Flowers are everywhere. It is a wonderful time of the year.
Bro. Donald Owens had a wonderful birthday March 30. Congratulations Bro. Donald from all of your friends in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley.

Elizabeth and Olivia Miller were honored with a birthday party at their home in Lascasses, Saturday. Friends and family attended. Nice gifts were given these nice girls.
We have been informed that the Elrod House in Possum Hollow was a total loss in the fire Sunday. Our prayers and love go to Faye. Let’s do our Christian duty to the family in its loss.
On Mother’s Day there will be a special service for all mothers at Dry Creek Baptist on May 13.
Then on June 17 there will be a special Father’s Day service.
