Dry Creek Baptist Church was delighted to have Jerry and Brenda Parker of Murfreesboro attend worship service Sunday.
They were not guests, because they have a big connection to the Dry Creek Valley. Jerry’s mother was born to and reared by the late Valter and Verna Fuston who lived in the upper part of the valley.
They along with their daughter, Bertha Mae Fuston Parker, were members of the Dry Creek Baptist Church and were good members who always supported the church. Frances Frazier of Smithville is Bertha Mae’s sister also they were sisters of Bertie Lou Hayes.
Bertha Mae and Bertie Lou are no longer with us, but the Parkers are wonderful people.
Jerry and Brenda told us that they would be back for homecoming at Dry Creek Baptist which will be July 29.
