Friday was Graduation Day for the DCHS Senior class of 2012. Over 150 students were presented by Principal Kathy Hendrix to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas from Directors of Schools Mark Willoughby.
It was remarkable that out of that large number graduating that 31 were graduating with highest Distinction (4.0 GPA-3.8 GPA). Many graduated with high distinction and distinction. Others were Tennessee Scholars and some received honors diplomas.
Congratulations to Adam James, who was Valedictorian to all the graduates.
Michael Burt, coach, author and entrepreneur of Nashville, formerly of Woodbury was guest speaker.
Mr. Burt brought an inspiring and fitting message from his own experiences in life.

Eleven seniors of Dry Creek Baptist Church enjoyed a day out with Pastor Donald Owens. The group had a delicious dinner at Cheddars in Mt. Juliet. After dinner the seniors went shopping at Providence Shopping Mall. Everyone enjoyed this beautiful sunny day away from home with food and fellowship with Christian friends. Thanks go to a pastor who truly cares for the older members and thanks to bus driver, Albert Tomilson. He’s the best.
Bro. Donald Owens will be in revival in Kentucky this weekend.
