Jimmy and Becky Womack visited Hurricane Hollow Apple Orchards Tuesday afternoon.
They brought Louise Frazier Stayman Winesap apples. Stayman Winesap are the best apples to make apple butter. It takes a day to make apple butter. You have to slowly stir your pot of this delicious fruit constantly. You must have patience and a good pot in which you must put your ingredients. I use an oversized Club Aluminum.
Winesap jelly, from peelings, and applesauce are also very good.
Rome apples make the best jelly.
Can Gala apples for frying in winter. Just quarter apple with peeling on and put in pot and boil five minutes then put in can and seal.
