The sun is shining brightly this Tuesday morning. Yesterday was a cold rainy day. We needed the rain to help the vegetation and hay fields grow, but today we are thankful for the sunshine.
It is turnip-green time in the valley. We are enjoying this delicious vegetables from the farm of the little lady who lives up the valley beyond the church, Pauline Frazier. This lady works all the time. She knows how to plant, grow and pick turnip greens.
We are preparing some for the freezer. In a matter of time, her patch of turnip greens will be going up to seed.
On Saturdays, you can find Pauline parked in her little white truck on the square with sacks of turnip greens to sell to the city folk.
We appreciate this nice lady whom we have known most of her life. We say “thank you,” and may God always look over her.
Pauline is a faithful member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.
