Dry Creek Flashes
Patience required

It was a stormy morning last Monday here in the valley with more severe weather and possible tornado warnings for all of Middle Tennesse with heavy rains and snow flurries.
Guess winter is still with us and for the sick and shut-ins, patience is required. After being in during the cold winter months, we become so anxious for warmer weather.
Thank goodness for college basketball games and March Madness.
Our favorite teams are Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Duke, Louisville, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State, Consaga, Alabama and North Carolina.
Louisville’s men basketball team won the Big East Championship 2013 game against Syracuse in Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena in New York City.
A very close game but a win for Louiville.
On last Monday the valley was without telephones, due to storm damage. DTC workmen were called to repair damage in the valley. We appreciate our phone service.
Jordan Cripps and Christian visited Mrs. Jim Cripps and family Friday.
Lisa Cripps visited her mother Louise Frazier and brought her a hot meal Tuesday evening.
Tom and Georgia Cripps are improving at their home on Dismal Road. Best wishes go to these nice people.
Glad to report that Claire Waggoner had a successful surgery at Cookeville Hospital and is back in school. Our love and best wishes go to Claire.
The weather continues to be very cold outside for March. We all need warmer weather, so we would feel better.
Mary Joines celebrated her birthday on March 18. Kathy Hendrix visited Mary and Bobby and took her gifts from the Frazier family.
She received many useful gifts. She sends her thanks to everyone for their love and kindness on her special day.
Dry Creek Community extends sincere sympathy to the families of Tommy Harvey and Regina Roberson in the death of her father. We pray for God’s love and mercy to be with them in the loss of their loved ones.

And they entered in, and found not the body of Jesus...And they were afraid...He is not here, but is risen... (Luke 24:3,6).
