Dry Creek Flashes
Enjoying the flower garden

In the valley we have had rain, sunshine, high winds, rain again, sunshine today and rain forecasted for tonight and tomorrow. Everything is green, flowers are blooming, and we are hoping for warmer weather!
Iris, our state flower, is in bloom. We have had some of the most beautiful Iris, deep purple, white, light blue and orange. We believe that the rains have made them grow so large and have large blooms.
Anyway, we say thank you for the enjoyment we receive from our flower garden. The Blaze Rose bush will be in bloom for Mother’s Day.
A very special get-well wish goes to a dear friend, Inez Farler, on Snow Hill.
Inez broke her left wrist in an accident at her home and was taken to the emergency doctor.
Our love and best wishes go to Inez. Her daughter, Monie, is with her now.
Special get-well wishes go to Edsel Frazier of Smithville, who is ill with pneumonia in DeKalb Community Hospital. Our prayers, love and best wishes go to Edsel for a quick recovery to good health.
Jeff Fuson of Paris was the overnight guest of Jimmy and Judy Kimbrell Tuesday. Wednesday morning, he enjoyed a country ham breakfast, eggs, and strawberry jam at the home of his grandmother Louise Frazier and Kathy Hendrix.
Jeff has just taken a new job with TVA at Chattanooga and just moved from Paris where he and his wife Meg and children Austin and Alyana had been living for the past 10 years. Meg is a nurse and the twins are in the fourth grade.
We wish the Fuson family will soon find a nice place to live near Jeff’s new job.
The Frazier family enjoyed seeing Jeff.
Belated and happy birthday wishes go to our daughter Peggy Thomas in Las Vegas, who celebrated her birthday May 5; Fred Brockette, May 1; J.D. Reynolds, May 2; Justin and Jordan Cripps May 3; Toy Varney and our former neighbor Jimmy Womack on May 7; Joe Ayers, May 15; Addison Puckett, May 18; Kristian Nelson,  May 24; Helen Burt, May 27; Ray David Hare, May 29; and Regina Robinson, May 29.
