One day he visited the country home of Mr. White. He enjoyed a visit with well-known artists Louie and Christine Colombarini who own the farm now. He has many fond memories of days spent there when he was a boy.

He recalled playing with our sons along with Kenny and Teddy Edge, and how they often went into the big cave at Indian Point on the W.O. Wocmack farm.
Swimming in the nearby stream was a “must” for these young boys growing up in the valley.
Evening was coming too soon for Aunt Louise and Billy who had chatted and recalled so many sweet memories.
At 8 p.m. Billy left to return to Smithville for an overnight stay with his sister Phyllis Sandlin. Tuesday or Wednesday we wish a safe trip home to Chicago for Billy.
To show his love for his only living aunt, he brought a beautiful arrangement of red roses from DeKalb Florist and presented them to her. Our thanks go to our nephew for his visit and the roses.

Mrs. Georgia Hawker is still under the care of her doctor and will visited him on Friday, Aug. 23. She is slowing improving and feels some better but says it will take much longer to be well. Our prayers, love and concerns is for her to get well. Her church misses her. Do a kind deed for Georgia this week.

Dry Creek Baptist Church, the only “lighthouse” in the valley which for over 120 years has proclaimed the Word of God to the people in the valley and visitors and friends. Our children, their daddy, and hundreds more were baptized in the Dry Creek stream which meanders by Dry Creek Baptist Church.
Everyone is always welcome to worship at Dry Creek Baptist. Bro. Donald Owens, in the ministry for over 60 years, is the pastor at the church in which he was ordained to preach when he was a young boy.
