Santa made a visit to the valley

Two days before Christmas in the Dry Creek Valley it was 19 degrees, with a cold breeze and snowflakes falling on up into the morning.
Now the sun is shining, and housewives are busy in the kitchen cooking cranberries and preparing ingredients for sausage dressing and regular dressing for Christmas Day.
Jordon and Nicole Cripps hosted a Christmas Dinner for their families on Monday at their home in the Dry Creek Valley.
Doris Linn, Brittnee, Faye Adkins, Arsyn and Christian enjoyed the day together.
Santa came for a visit on Christmas Day at the home of Jerald and Lisa Cripps on Dismal Road. Special guests were Wayne and Deborah Fuson of Cabot Arkansas. The Frazier family prepared a delicious festive meal for everyone to enjoy.
Scripture was read from the book of Luke proclaiming Jesus birth.
The final words read for all was peace on earth good will to all men. This is the Frazier family prayer for the New Year, 2014.
Family members from near and far came to be together. We thank God for a blessed family.
Dry Creek Valley lost a native son this week, as Charles    Brigham Ayers was laid to rest beside his parents John and Callie Ayers and an infant daughter, Cathy Ayers.
Brigham’s sister, Willie Jim Ayers Cripps, and brother Joe Ayers still live here at the old Ayers home in the valley. Dry Creek Community extends sincere sympathy to the Ayers Family.
He leaves behind two daughters, Tammy Tyler and Tina Pedigo of Smithville.
Brigham was a student at June Bug School in the years 1948-1949 when Louise Frazier was the teacher. He was a quiet boy who was never in any trouble, and was loved by all his classmates and teachers.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Fuson, Alayana and Austin attended the Frazier family Christmas dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Cripps on Dismal Rd., Liberty.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Kimbrell were in St. Joseph Saturday to visit his sister, Mrs. Judy Beard and family.
Wayne and Deborah Fuson and Jeff and Meg Fuson, Alyana and Austin visited Mrs. Doris Cantrell and family in Smithville on Christmas evening.
It was so good to hear from Jack and Frankie Watkins during the Christmas Season. They will be back in Tennessee next summer. They are frequent visitors at Dry Creek Baptist Church.
Jeff and Meg Fuson, Austin and Alayna of Paris had Christmas evening dinner with his grandmother, Louise Frazier.
Command CMST Wayne Fuson (RT.) and wife Deborah, of Cabot Arkansas are spending this week with Deborah’s mother, Louise Frazier, and family.
Special get-well wishes go to Katherine Pack, who had surgery in Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She is now at home recovering.
Lisa Cripps visited her on Monday. Our prayers, love, and best wishes go to Katherine for a full recovery and may she and her family be blessed during Christmas.
Frances Frazier is now in Rehab at Nashville. Her address is: Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehab Hospital, Room 2004 A 2nd Floor, 2001 Childrens Way Nashville, Tn. 37212.

The Dry Creek Baptist Church was delighted to have guest soloist Mary Owens of Lebanon to sing beautiful Christmas songs.
On Jan. 1 there will be no Wednesday night service. Dry Creek Baptist Church will resume regular meetings next week.
There will be Sunday School and worship service on Sunday.
