Jeannette France went on a business trip to Knoxville on Wednesday.
Bruno and Geri Frazier of Atlanta spent the week at their country farm and had Sunday dinner at the home of his grandmother, Louise Frazier. He said that the weather was doing better down south now, but that it had been a bad winter for them.
Good to see Bruno and Geri. They both are teachers in Atlanta.
Judy Kimbrell visited Bobby and Mary Joines Friday and took prepared hot meals to the Joines. Bobby saw his doctor at the Clinic in Smithville last week.
Nakayah Box of Murfreesboro visited her grandmother, Jeanette France on Tuesday.
Olivia Miller of Lascassas celebrated her 11th birthday on March 17. Olivia attends Lascassas Elementary School, where she is a outstanding student with all A’s, and is on the principal’s list.
Congratulations Olivia.
Dry Creek Baptist Church was saddened to hear about the passing of Catherine Ward Cox of Murfreesboro on March 16. Catherine was the wife of William “Bill” Cox well-known song leader at revivals in Middle Tennessee.
She provided music for the revivals, concerts, programs and on his albums and CD’s. Catherine had been a church organists for 23 years, 5 years at First Baptist Church, Donelson, and for the past 17 years at Triune Baptist Church.
As a member of the Piano Teachers Guild, Mrs. Cox taught many students for 40 years. She provided music for numerous weddings and funerals.
Bill and Catherine had two daughters, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was held March 19 at Triune Baptist Church. Burial was at Woodlawn Gardens.
The Cox family will be remembered for the wonderful music they provided for revivals at Dry Creek Baptist Church. Our deepest sympathy is extended to them in the loss of a wonderful lady musician.
Kathy Hendrix visited Bobby and Mary Joines and took them a delicious hot dinner. Bobby and Mary say a thank you to everyone who has been so nice to them, sent cards, and other kind deeds during Bobby’s recent stay in the hospital and since he came home, and for the prayers offered on his behalf.
Thank you Dry Creek Baptist Church, for all you do for the Joines family.
We know of two outsiders who have remembered them with untold gifts. The Joines family appreciate, and our community feels so good to know that there people with warm hearts who feel for others.
Just remember that we have no assurance of tomorrow.
Lisa Cripps visited her mother, Louise Frazier, Tuesday evening and did the needed chores at the house. Thanks from Louise who has good daughters.

Senior adults of Dry Creek baptist Church reported that they enjoyed the outing and dinner with Pastor Donald Owens in Murfreesboro last thursday. It is good to be a Senior Adult and it is wonderful to be recognized in your church.
Pastor Owens recognizes his whole flock, even the toddlers, who on some occasions might disturb the message on Sunday morning.
