Dry Creek Flashes - Happy birthday, Sawyer!
Smithville Local Columnist.png

Buddy and Deborah Fuson have returned to their home in Cabot, Ark., after a vacation touring out west. We are glad they were able to enjoy this road trip and are back home safe.

Get well wishes go out to our neighbor Moose Nokes who is in a Nashville hospital. Please remember him in your prayers. We were sorry to hear Sue Blair is not well. May God bless you Sue.

Your writer spent several days at the home of Ricky and Kathy Hendrix. On Sunday the family came for dinner there after church. A good meal was enjoyed by all.

Congratulations to T.J. Harper and Xena Walker on their upcoming marriage. The Dry Creek Baptist Church hosted a wedding shower for this sweet couple last Sunday afternoon.

Last week Matilda Earl canned some apple jelly. We look forward to eating some on a hot biscuit with butter this winter.

We send sympathy to the family of Linda Kilgore in their tome of sorrow.
Last week Dry Creek and Smith Fork Creeks filled with flooded waters spilling out into the roads and fields. Our family has always enjoyed living alongside Dry Creek, however; heavy rains and flooding makes one cautious of getting out.

It is good to hear Tony Thompson is getting better day by day, after his recent heart surgery. We send him get well wishes.

We have not heard from our friend Marlene Prichard lately concerning the health of her husband Tommy. Please keep him on your prayer list.

Ernest Ray sent a nice card and note recently. Please keep the Ray family in your prayers.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Sawyer Hendrix who celebrated with family and friends last Saturday at the home of his grandparents, Ricky and Kathy Hendrix.
Devote some of your time to the Lord. Make this time peaceful, not just a time to check off that you have done a devotion. Live in union with the Lord. You will find fulfillment and peace in His presence. Life is full of worry on every hand. We need God’s love.

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet with you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
