Summer is here for sure. The gardens will be overflowing with all kinds of good vegetables. Canning vegetables and freezing vegetables is near. You will be happy you have preserved your vegetables this winter. I have to have more corn this year I ran out too soon. It takes a lot of corn for my bunch on Sunday’s. We received a much need rain on Sunday it probably saved some from watering the garden. But, this Monday is going to be a scorcher high 91 but feel like 99 this is the dog days of summer.

Several attended New Home Baptist Church this past Sunday. Bro. Lewis Carrick preached a good message as he always does. I got to sit in my usually pew yesterday we have been spread out since Covid but everything is almost back to normal.

This weekend is the Fourth of July weekend remember to drive safe where ever you go. And most people head out to the lake please use your safety precautions there too and remember to wear a life jacket. All boats must have a life jacket for everyone on board along with boat registration, license, fire extinguisher and please don’t drink and drive.  Also be careful with the little ones and pets around fireworks a burn from fireworks can be very serious. Most all of the marinas are having a fireworks show, I put a list in the community Column for dates and times.
