It’s nice to have a holiday in the middle of winter - Martin Luther King JR. Day.
We have come a long way in equal rights for all! The teachers and students always appreciate a day off. Also we haven't had any snow days. That is probably yet to come this winter.
Kiana Driver, daughter of Derek Driver, was honored on her birthday last Friday evening at the Pizza Hut. Helping her celebrate her 8th birthday were Derek Driver, Taylan, Robert and Kiera Driver, Charlotte Barnard, Robin Driver, Aunt Shirley Ingram, Eli Humphrey, and Lawrence Bell. After everyone devoured pizza, Kiana blew out the candles on her pink and blue cake along with ice cream. She was excited as she opened her many gifts.
During a Sunday school class at First Methodist last Sunday, Larry Tatum was honored on his birthday with a delicious cake. The greeting was sung and birthday wishes were given.
